On October 19, 2022, the first handheld fiber optic current meter independently developed, designed and produced by Beijing SIO was successfully delivered to Wenshan Aluminum, a subsidiary of Yunlu Group! The handheld fiber optic current meter is called "electrolytic cell endoscope" in the industry. It is mainly used for accurate measurement of the distributed current of the electrolytic cell to ensure safe production for customers. This successful delivery indicates that our products have been recognized by industry users in ensuring the safe production of electrolytic cells.


Based on ten years of experience in the development of fiber optic current sensors, SIO has overcome key technical difficulties such as miniaturized module optoelectronic integration and high-reliability optical cable flexible packaging in combination with the on-site application needs of electrolytic aluminum, and independently developed the world's first handheld high-precision fiber optic current meter product. Compared with the existing electrolytic cell current measurement solution, the accuracy is improved by 1~2 orders of magnitude, providing a revolutionary solution for the accurate measurement of the distributed current of the electrolytic cell.

The main functions and application scenarios of the handheld fiber optic current meter for aluminum electrolysis production:

1. Accurately measure the cathode distribution current of the electrolytic cell to ensure the safe production of the electrolytic cell and extend the service life of the electrolytic cell;

2. Accurately measure the anode distribution current of the electrolytic cell, quickly deal with the voltage swing caused by uneven current distribution, and improve the production efficiency of the electrolytic cell;

3. Accurately measure the busbar current of the electrolytic cell column to provide a theoretical basis for current distribution for aluminum electrolysis process control and improve the stability of the electrolytic cell;
