Join hands to create a new chapter of aluminum electricity -- the joint laboratory of SIO and the College of Mechanical and Material Engineering of North China University of Technology was officially inaugurated

On November 7, 2024, the unveiling ceremony of the joint laboratory of "Electrolytic Aluminum Fiber Current Measurement and Intelligent Application" jointly established by Beijing SIO  and the College of Mechanical and Material Engineering of North China University of Technology was held in SIO . Professor Tie Jun of North China University of Technology and Dr. Xiao Hao of SIO and the two teams attended the unveiling ceremony.

At the meeting, Dr. Xiao Hao thanked North China University of Technology for its trust and support for this cooperation on behalf of SIO . He said: This cooperation is a major strategic deployment in the field of electrolytic aluminum, the two sides based on the common innovation concept and development vision, decided to work together to build this joint laboratory, aiming to promote the intelligent transformation and upgrading of the electrolytic aluminum industry through the innovative application of optical fiber current sensor technology.

Professor Tie Jun of North China University of Technology expressed his high expectations for the joint laboratory. The establishment of the laboratory will integrate resources, focus on the key technical link of accurate current measurement in the electrolytic aluminum industry, and strive to achieve breakthroughs in intelligent applications. This will not only help solve the technical problems faced by the electrolytic aluminum industry for a long time, improve production efficiency and safety, but also train more professionals for the industry and promote the close combination of academic research and industrial practice.

At the unveiling ceremony, the two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement, and Dr. Xiao Hao, General manager of SIO  and Professor Tie Jun of North China University of Technology jointly unveiled the joint laboratory, marking the official launch of cooperation.

Subsequently, the leaders and project representatives of Yibo Light intelligent production test workshop, detailed understanding of the test process and test standards of optical fiber current sensor, to the company in the optical fiber current sensor product development, production management, quality control strength expressed appreciation.

The opening of the joint laboratory not only marks a solid step in the cooperation between SIO  and the College of Mechanical and Material Engineering of North China University of Technology, but also indicates that a new chapter in the integration and development of optical fiber sensing technology and aluminum power industry is about to open. The two sides will go hand in hand to jointly explore the infinite possibilities of scientific and technological innovation, contribute to promoting the development of China's aluminum industry and technological upgrading, and write a more brilliant future chapter.
